Int’l Women Quran Researchers Congress Slated for December 26

IQNA – The Iranian capital will host the 16th edition of the women Quran researchers international congress in late December.

Zakiyeh Abdollahian, the secretary of the congress, told IQNA that it will be organized at Tehran’s Milad Tower on December 26, concurrent with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA). 

She said that given the recent developments in the region, the focus of this year’s conference will be women Quran activists of the resistance front.

Hence, she noted, the activists to be honored at the event will be selected from countries like Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and Yemen.

In the coming weeks, women active in different fields such as Quranic research, arts, Quran memorization and recitation, and Quranic education will be invited and a number of them will be chosen to be honored, she stated.

The congress is annually held in Iran with Quranic, religious, cultural and political officials in attendance.

Abdollahian further said that on the same day, the second congress of “Ethics and Spirituality” will take place at the Milad Tower.

It features honoring women preachers and Quran activists of the city of Tehran, she went on to say.
